This Friday December 2nd from 6PM - 8:30PM you can take part in the annual downtown Burlington Candlelit Stroll. The stroll starts in Civic Square for treats and kick-off festivities. The stroll officially kicks off at 7pm and will stop in Village Square first where we'll light the Village Square Christmas tree. Councillor Marianne Meed-Ward will kick off the festivities and we'll be joined by Victorian Carollers, Hot Apple Cider from PM Wyre, and Soup from Rayhoon Persian Eatery.

Ok. Ok. We know it's been awhile, since you heard from us but summer is happening in the Village in a big way! The restaurants and patios are full and tourists are wandering around taking advantage of the great weather and are snap happy with their cameras using our historic architecture as the perfect photography backdrop. Speaking of photography, we recently welcomed Marc Buchanan and his Darkroom Studios to Village Square. He has set up shop on Pine Street above the awesome Son of A Peach Pizzeria. (Have you tried their amazing summer menu? Pig and Peach Pizza. It's insane. But I digress.) Some of our long term tenants have been playing musical chairs, (units,) and have moved to different spaces within the Village. Andrew from Underdog Communications has moved from the bustling centre of the Square, to a cute nook along the cobbled path we refer to as The Arches. There he spends his time working on strategic design, branding and marketing for his extensive client base and noodling on his guitar when he takes a break. Salon Red and Village Square Quilt Shop can now be found across from the gazebo in the centre of the Square. The interior of the Square is especially vibrant in the summer. Some Burlingtonians have discovered that it's a bit of an oasis and they bring a packed lunch to sit on some of our new park benches to enjoy a refreshing mini escape from work. Although we have noticed that more than a few decide to save their bagged PB+J once they smell the incredible aromas wafting from Rayhoon Persian Eatery and are enticed to eat on their gorgeous patio instead. If you haven't tried this place you are seriously missing something special.
